CRM: administration settings

This article describes the administration settings on the 'CRM' tab. On this tab you will find the settings for 'Addresses', 'Contact roles' and 'Document management'.

The administration settings form the basis of MKG. From the numbering of orders to the course of processes, everything is determined by the administration settings.

Adresses

  • Zipcode in capitals. Check box to always present the postal code in capital letters.
  • City names in capitals. Check box to always present the city name in capital letters.

Contact roles

  • Allocate roles on contacts automatically. Check box to indicate whether the roles on contacts should be divided automatically.

Document management

  • Documents folder. Specify here the destination folder where files will be saved. Think carefully about the location of the folder. In a multi-user environment this will be a network location.
  • E-mail address. This e-mail address is used to manage e-mails in MKG. When sending a message to this e-mail address, MKG will automatically use the module Documents
start up, if MKG is running.
  • Check receiving e-mail. When receiving e-mail in Microsoft Outlook, MKG checks whether the e-mail address is known in the module CRM
. If there is a match, the module Documents
should be started automatically if MKG is running.
  • Check sending e-mail. When sending e-mail from the e-mail application, MKG checks whether the e-mail address is known in the module CRM
. If there is a match, the module Documents
should be started automatically if MKG is running.
  • Use MS-Outlook plug-in to save e-mail in MKG. This activates an add-in for Microsoft Outlook, so that you can determine the time to link e-mail in MKG.
  • Block deleting processes with documents. During the deletion of a process, a check is made to see whether any documents are still present with the process. If so, the message "Cannot delete [process][number] because there are still documents.".

Choices for settings are made and recorded during the implementation process. Changes in this can have far-reaching consequences. Therefore, only make changes under the guidance of an MKG consultant or the MKG Helpdesk. Authorization of the administration settings is recommended so that no unexpected changes can occur without the knowledge of the system administrator.
