How to Determine the Employee Costs
In the table BBO Labor Costs you enter the labor costs per employee for the fiscal year: the gross salary and the employer's expenses. The Detail offers you a total overview including the labor costs per net hour, the hourly efficiency and productivity. Entering the labor costs per employee is part of a step-by-step plan to set up BCO. This article describes step 5. |
Labor Costs
You determine the labor costs per employee on the basis of pay slips or collective labor agreement data. These consist of the salary (gross wages, any shift allowance, holiday allowance and any other allowance) and the employer's expenses (pension, social security charges, other expenses and any other allowance). Here you can also see the totals what an employee costs per period and per year.
MKG calculates the labor costs per paid hour (the workable hours) and per net hour (the hours that the employee is present). The net rate shown in the table Function Groups is linked to the employee is also displayed here. If the labor costs per net hour are higher than the function group, you can adjust them immediately.
Directors' Salary or Management Fee
When determining the labor costs, take the salary of the board and/or management fee into account. You have the choice to include them here in the overview or in the coverage plan. Be careful not to take it in both.
Temporary Workers
When determining the labor costs, take temporary workers or hirers into account. You have the choice to include them here in the overview or in the coverage plan. Be careful not to take it in both.
Part-timers
You budget part-timers almost the same as a full-time employee. You need to change two fields: the period of the year and the part-time percentage.
Vacancies or Departing Employees
If you expect a new employee from a certain date, you can already budget for them. This way you can adjust the period and the part-time percentage. You must first create the new employee at Employees. This also works for departing employees.
Hours
In the overview per employee you will also find the workable hours, as arranged in the BCO Administration table. Here you can also enter a part-time percentage, any 'age hours' and the number of hours that the employee is unplanned to be absent (this is an estimate).
