How to Authorize Users for a Fiscal Year

MKG uses an authorization model in which you set per user whether or not they have access to the data of an administration/fiscal year. You can set this access after creating a new fiscal year. In this article you can read how to authorize users for a fiscal year.

After you have created a new fiscal year in MKG, you can authorize the users who must or may have access for the fiscal year and for this administration. This action is optional.

1. Select the Administration

You authorize users per administration. You manage this authorization within the module Administrations. On the module homepage, find and select the correct administration.

2. Check the Fiscal Year

You will be taken to the 'General' tab of the administration. At the bottom left of your screen you can see which fiscal year is active and which fiscal years are available for this administration. Check if you are in the newly created fiscal year.

3. Manage the Authorization

Open the 'Authorization' group and go to the new fiscal year in the list. Click in the User Authorization field and open the drop-down. In this window you manage the authorization for this administration and this fiscal year. All you have to do is check or uncheck users. Click Save

. The users for the fiscal year are authorized.

Please note!
You open fiscal years per administration. If you use more than one administration, you must perform this action for each administration.

Checklist Fiscal Year Transition | While executing a fiscal year transition, in today's administrative systems, actions that only occur once a year still have to be performed. These actions cause questions, or worse, are not performed at the most appropriate time. To prevent these questions and to ensure that the fiscal year transition runs as smoothly as possible, this checklist is intended for those who coordinate a fiscal year transition with MKG software.
