Enable or disable forecast on a production order
Enable or disable forecast
Enable or disable forecast on a production order can be done with the Enable/Disable Forecast button on the production order.
This button can be authorized via the Authorization Overview and is available under the following conditions:
Enable forecast
- The production order is not linked to a sales order.
- No quantities have been reported as completed for an assembly or a sub-assembly.
- There is no post-calculation (material, operation or outsourcing).
- No hours have been booked on the production order.
Disable forecast
- The production order is not linked to a sales order.
If you want to switch a forecast production order to a non-forecast production order, you can do this by switching the corresponding sales order to a non-forecast sales order via the Forecast List.

Before version 86, the property 'Forecast' was switched off on the production order when you removed the link between production and sales. From version 86 onwards, the production order retains the property 'Forecast'.
