SOLIDWORKS PDM
To go from idea to product, you create – in addition to ERP – using different types of software, starting with CAD software during the design process. This often also involves a PDM solution to bring together the large amounts of product-related data in one overarching system. Maybe you use the comprehensive 3DEXPERIENCE cloud platform to shape your ideas and turn them into reality. However, what we see a lot is that when changes are made to the CAD model, items and parts lists have to be manually updated in the ERP system. A time-consuming process that significantly increases the chance of possible errors. With the CAD2M add-on, manual updating is a thing of the past.
The connection
To ensure that data can be easily exchanged between SOLIDWORKS, SOLIDWORKS PDM or 3DEXPERIENCE and MKG, CAD2M has developed an add-on. This seamlessly links the systems together and contributes to simple data exchange and more effective production processes. Does a fellow engineer adjust something in the CAD model? For example, items, bills of materials and document links for purchasing and assembly are automatically updated. If SOLIDWORKS (PDM)/3DEXPERIENCE and ERP are not connected, any changes to the CAD model must be made manually in MKG. The CAD2M add-on reduces the chance of errors, saves time and increases quality.
