Logistics Scan System (ICS Vertex)

This mobile application enables production employees to handle work processes paperlessly within MKG by means of barcode scanning. The user-friendly interface is multilingual and so self-explanatory that it can be implemented quickly without extensive training. The combination of direct control at the time of scanning the materials and real-time processing in MKG, without manual actions, ensures more accurate inventory information. In addition, everyone in MKG has direct insight into where the products are placed and the progress of a production order.

 

No more searching for specific materials or parts that have just been moved. No documents with handwritten notes that later have to be manually processed in MKG. And if there is a question about a production, MKG provides immediate insight into which employee carried out the action.

In addition to the above functionality, continuity & support is an essential part of the solution. ICS Vertex offers an extensive Value Added Service contract for this, which completely unburdens every end user in terms of remote support for user questions, automatic updates, monitoring of the handhelds and full warranty in the event of hardware defects or damage.

 

The connection

The Logistics Scan System uses the MKG API connector for the real-time connection.
The following functionality is available in the current connection:

  3. Move production locations
  4. Issue / backflush material
  5. Add AC material manually
  6. Revaluing stock (taking inventory)
  7. WiFi direct printing labels

Requirements on the part of MKG

  • This connection requires an on-premise MKG5 environment with the MKG API that can be accessed from outside.
  • The MKG Exchange license (full control) must be active.
  • API Key and a user with specific rights.

Requirements on the part of ICS Vertex

  • Coverage WiFi network on the production floor
    (ICS Vertex can advise on this and supply the necessary network hardware).
  • A short instruction/training from the MKG consultant is required before the solution can be put into use.
