The client.exe file for the universal setup of the MKG Client Software is available from the article 'Installing MKG Client Software for MKG Cloud'. By clicking the 'Download' button below you will download the mkgclient.intunewin file.

Requirements for deployment

The following preparation points are necessary for this installation:

• You need the correct license(s) for Microsoft Intune Management. Check Microsoft Intune licenties
• An administrator with sufficient rights (at least administrator rights) must be logged in on Microsoft Intune Management
• The mkgclient.intunewin file has been downloaded and made available for provisioning within Microsoft Intune Management.
• It is important to know which type of MKG installation is required: cloud (SSL), on-premise (non-SSL), or on-premise (SSL).
• If the MKG Cloud is used, you must know which MKG cloud server should be connected to and under which tenant name.

Deployment Windows Microsoft Package

Open Microsoft Intune Management to create the deployment for the MKG Client in a newly created app here. Follow the steps below:

1. First choose 'Apps' from the left menu and then 'Windows' from the submenu.
   
   
   
   
2. Click + Add to create a new app.
   
   
   
   
3. Under 'Select app type', choose 'Windows app (Win32)' and click Select.
   
   
   
   
4. Click on Select app package file.
   
   
   
   
5. Click on the blue folder logo and point to the *.intunewin file. Then click OK.
6. Enter the minimum required information on the 'App information' tab. The table below serves as an example. Then click Next.

7. On the 'Program' tab, specify the installation and uninstall commands.
   
   
   
   
   • Installation command for an MKG Cloud environment:
     
     client.exe /S /apsvurl= "-URL https://saas01.mkg.eu/mkgclient/apsv -sessionModel Session-managed -nohostverify" /apsvpractiseurl= "-URL https://saas01-oefen.mkg.eu/mkgoefenclient/apsv -sessionModel Session-managed -nohostverify"
     
     The example above uses the default installation path:

     MKG Oefenclient	- C:\ProgramData\MKGClientOefen\

• • Installation command for an MKG Cloud environment in its own specific folder: 
    
    client.exe /S /APSVURL="-URL https://saas01.mkg.eu/mkgoefenclient/apsv -sessionModel Session-managed -nohostverify" /envname=Klant1 /apsvpractiseurl= "-URL https://saas01-oefen.mkg.eu/mkgoefenclient/apsv -sessionModel Session-managed -nohostverify" /envname=Klant1
    
    The example above uses the default installation path:
    
    

    MKG Client	- C:\ProgramData\MKGClient_Klant1\
    MKG Oefenclient	- C:\ProgramData\MKGClient_Klant1Oefen\

  • Uninstall command for an MKG Cloud environment:
    
    %programdata%\mkgclient\uninstall.exe /S
    
    Both the MKG Client and the MKG Oefenclient will be removed.
    
    

8. Complete the fields on the 'Requirements' tab as follows and click OK.
   
   
   
   
9. Complete the fields of the 'Detection Rule' tab as follows and click OK.
   
   
   
   
10. If applicable, complete the fields on the 'Dependencies' tab and click OK and Next.
11. If applicable, complete the fields on the 'Supersedence' tab and click OK and Next.
12. Complete the fields on the 'Assignments' tab. Adding a group is necessary (based on a user group or workplace group).
13. Change the End users notifications to 'Hide all toast notifications' and click OK.
    
    
    
    
14. Click on Check all settings and then click on Create in the profile. After this, Microsoft Intune Management will save the configured configuration and upload the mkgclient.intunewin file. The progress of the deployment of the MKG Client profile can be found in Microsoft Intune Management.
