How to use the Pick-up List and the Drop List

For the benefit of production locations, the Inventory List contains a Pick-up List and a Drop List. This article provides an explanation of both lists, with a focus on the status of the production location.

Pick-up List

The Pick-up List is intended to move production order lines in progress to the next operation (status 'Placed') or an intermediate location (status 'Neutral'), as soon as quantities have been reported ready for an operation.

The list is filled with active production locations with the status 'Must be picked up'. The production locations are shown condensed by Location, ID and Status or: production locations, where the content of these fields is the same, are shown as one line.

  • New Location shows the 'Warehouse Location in' of the next operation.
  • New Status is filled with 'Is put down' by default, unless a different new location is selected. In that case it is filled with 'Must be picked up'. Manual adjustment is possible: 'Must be picked up', 'Neutral' and 'Is put down'.

The Pick-up List contains the standard views 'Pre-calculation (8001)' and 'Planning (8002)'.

Drop List

The Drop List is intended to move production locations that are needed for a next operation. The list is filled with active production locations with the status 'Must be picked up' or 'Neutral'.

In the list, filling in the search query 'Reference Date' is mandatory. In the case of time registration based on a pre-calculation, the filter is based on the Start Date of the next production order operation PC. In the case of time registration based on planning, the filter is based on the Start Date of the next planning operation.

The Drop List contains the standard views 'Pre-calculation (8003)' and 'Planning (8004)'. Both views also contain the search 'Reference Date ='.
