How to Add a Field to a List

MKG has numerous lists. These lists usually contain the most relevant fields. However, you can add your own desired fields to each list, both direct and indirect. In this article you can read how to add direct and indirect fields to your lists.

Direct Fields

Direct fields are all available fields for the given list. You select these fields via the Field Selector. There are two ways to open the Field Selector:

  1. Right-click in the list, then choose 'List settings' and select 'Field selector...'. The 'Customize' screen will appear at the bottom right, in which the fields in the list are checked. You can check all other fields or drag them to the column header.
  2. Click in the empty field on the far left of the column header. The 'Customize' screen will appear at the bottom right, in which the fields in the list are checked. You can check all other fields or drag them to the column header.

Indirect Fields

Indirect fields are fields from tables in MKG other than the process you are currently in.

  1. Right-click in the list, then choose 'List settings' and select 'Indirect field...'.
  2. In the 'Select field' screen, first select the field on which you want to 'point through' and then the indirect field. This indirect field is shown in italics in the list.
