Calculation: Administration Settings
This article describes the administration settings on the 'Calculation' tab. On this tab you will find the settings for 'Calculations', 'Execute Actions only on Assembly', 'Bills of Materials' and 'BOMs/Calculations/Production Orders'.
The administration settings form the basis of MKG. From the numbering of orders to the course of processes, everything is determined by the administration settings. |
Calculations
- Step Size Operation Sequence. The size of the step between the different operation lines.
- Pricing Method Material. Selection field whether the material price should be calculated including or excluding residual material.
- Saw Cut PL. The default saw cut in mm for ACM material lines based on the product length (PL). A saw cut is then added before each product length. This can be adjusted afterwards.
- Saw Cut SL. The default saw cut in mm for ACM material lines based on the sawing length (SL). A saw cut is then added between each product length. This can be adjusted afterwards.
Execute Actions only on Assembly
- Calculate Quote. Checkbox to indicate whether the Calculate Quote action may only be carried out on an assembly. Checked: this action is also carried out for all underlying sub-assemblies. Unchecked: only the sub-assembly in which you carry out the action will be continued.
- Report Ready. Checkbox to indicate whether the Report Ready action may only be carried out on an assembly. Checked: this action is also carried out for all underlying sub-assemblies. Unchecked: only the sub-assembly in which you carry out the action will be continued.
Bills of Materials
- Step Size Operation Sequence. The size of the step between the different operation lines. This can be adjusted afterwards on the material line.
- Pricing Method Material. Choice field whether ACM material lines should state inclusive or exclusive residual material as standard. This can be adjusted afterwards on the material line.
- Saw Cut PL. The default saw cut within calculations in mm for ACM material lines based on the product length (PL). A saw cut is then added before each product length. This can be adjusted afterwards.
- Saw Cut SL. The default saw cut within calculations in mm for ACM material lines based on the sawing length (SL). A saw cut is then added between each product length. This can be adjusted afterwards.
- Inherit Drawing to Underlying Sub-assemblies. Checkbox to indicate that, if a sub-assembly line is created or copied under a production order line, the drawing number, if present, will be copied to the sub-assembly line. Any drawing number already present on it will be overwritten.
- Inherit Drawing to Underlying Materials. Checkbox to indicate that when creating a material line, the drawing number of the production order line to which the material line belongs should be copied.
- Revision active on Items. If changes to item properties must result in a BOM revision, this option must be activated.
- Revision active on Operations. If changes in the Operations table should result in a BOM revision, this option must be activated.
- BOM Formula Field Colour. The colour that can be set when using formula fields.
BOMs/Calculations/Production Orders
- Net Price Hierarchy. The net price of an item is determined hierarchically. If there is no purchase order, the price request is looked at, then the purchase price agreement and so on. If you check 'Purchase Price Agreement', this will appear at the top; MKG only then looks at the purchase order. If both 'Purchase Price Agreement' and 'Latest Purchase Price' are checked, both come before 'Purchase Order'.
- Rounding Difference % at ACM Usage. In this field you can specify the percentage that should be taken into account for rounding differences. This is intended for calculating with materials that have little weight. MKG uses this factor for the calculation, which in combination with the selected material unit can store the correct piece data for the line. This additional information makes it possible to calculate dynamically without rounding differences what the exact material requirement should be per BOM quantities.
Choices for settings are made and recorded during the implementation process. Changes in this can have far-reaching consequences. Therefore, only make changes under the guidance of an MKG consultant or the MKG Helpdesk. Authorization of the administration settings is recommended so that no unexpected changes can occur without the knowledge of the system administrator. |
