How to Navigate between Processes

Business processes are connected in an ERP system. In MKG you can easily navigate between linked processes, without having to manually open the relevant module and remember and retype or copy the correct order number, item number or other reference. To do this, use the link button or the Go to button. You can read more about this in this article.

The Link Button

If a production order is linked to a sales order line, it is visible via the Provided With

link button. Clicking on this link will directly open the linked order.

This of course also works the other way around, from the production order back to the sales order. There is a similar field in the purchase order, indicated by the Destined To

link button which shows for which order something is being purchased.

The Go To Button

The presence of a link between different processes is shown under the Go to

button. Because different process links are created in the header than at line level, this button is usually present at both levels. In the header you will find different process links below the button than at line level. For example, in a sales order header you will find the link between the order and the linked debtor and relation. And if there is a different billing address, you will also see the invoice debtor and the invoice relation here.

In the sales order line you can find process links, among other things, to the linked item, the linked production sub-assembly and the linked packing slip and invoice, depending on the status of the sales order line.

If multiple lines are present, it is important to select the correct line. After all, each line can contain other process links. Just think of an item with an accompanying BOM. So first select the desired level and click on Go to

. Select from one of the linked processes. The selected item opens directly in the relevant module as a new tab.
